What’s new?

Weapon Throw

Finally! You can now toss your weapons (not all) at your foes to get your final say! Hate the twit? Thundercunt it at the fucker!

Q: How does it work?

A: Simple! Once a certain weapon runs out of ammo you can use the attack/shooting action to throw at your enemy!

New Character Model System

Before there was only one player character model that was seen by the local player and remote players, now with a massive code re-write there are now two player character models one which is seen the by the controlling player only, and the other seen only by other players. This also affects weapons as well, being there are two different instances local only and remote only.

Q: What does this mean?

A: This allows for better control when implementing more features, weapons, animations and all the like.

FOV Settings

As a side bonus this allowed to use separate FOV sliders where one affects how the player model and weapons projected to the first person camera and the other affects the players fielf of vision of the surrounding environment. image.png

This is now also exposed in the settings menu in the “Display” section. image.png

Improvements

Weapon Pickup Cues

I’ll admit it was a minor oversight, but at long last I added weapon pickup cues to the player HUD were upon standing in a weapon pickup, the game will immediately notify you with a HUD update (with a notification sound!)

True Arena - Design and Lighting Update

NGL, the baked lighting was ass in some areas so I fixed that! Additionally changed it into a doorway rather than a place to crouch through in the yellow building. image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

What’s in next store?

Pre-Alpha 9 I guess????? I am planning to make 2 more pre-alpha releases (total of 10) before I enter the alpha stage, which by that point it will be updated outside of itch.
